Needless to mention, SunPass is an innovative, convenient, and online “Prepaid Toll Program” that is created by Department of Transportation of Florida. How to Sign Up? :
Step 1 – To create a personal account with SunPass, simply visit their official website and click on the link – “Purchase a transponder”. This step will allow you to select a transponder type of your choice. Here, you can select the quantity and the final price will be calculated & displayed to you. Then, click on “Next” button.
Step 2 – Here, you will be allowed to select customer type : either Personal or Commercial. Note, non-commercial customers with leased, privately owned, or rented vehicles can create their account online. However, the Commercial Accounts can be opened by fax, mail, or in person at the respective SunPass Customer Service Centers.
Step 3 – Now, click on “Create Personal Account” button. Here, you will be asked to enter your personal account information, such as title, name, email address, residential address, zip code, SunPass username, and PIN etc. Enter all the details and hit the “Next” button.
Step 4 – In the next step, you will be asked to enter Vehicle information, for example, License plate, Vehicle year, Make, Model, and Color etc. Enter the details carefully and click “Next”.
Step 5 – The following screen will prompt you to enter payment information. You need to add a minimum amount of $10 US dollars on your SunPass account. Enter your credit card information like Name on Credit Card, Card Number, CVV, Zip Code, Card type, and Expiry Date etc. Once, the details are entered, hit the “Next button”.
Step 6 – In the next step, you will be allowed to review your information and then click “Finish” to submit the details.
Step 7 – Finally, you will need to properly mount the SunPass transponder with your vehicle. Also, you should note your 12-digit unique SunPass number for future reference.
Step 8 – Again visit the official website of SunPass. Click on the link “Activate a SunPass transponder”. You will be prompted to accept the SunPass Terms of Use. Next, you can now enter your username & PIN (generated in previous steps) to login to your individual account and activate your transponder by entering the 12-digit transponder id.
Now, you have successfully created an online account with SunPass.
How to Login to Your Account? – Once, you have completed the sign-up process successfully, you can now go to Login page to your SunPass account whenever you want and track several details like deducted toll amount and remaining balance etc.
For SunPass Account Login, simply visit the official website of SunPass.com and click on the big red-colored button – “Login to Account”. All you will need to enter details in two mandatory fields – Username or 12-digit unique Transponder Number and Password. Next, click on the “Login” button to access your account.
How to Retrieve/Reset Password? : If you have forgotten your PIN or password and you are not able to access to your online SunPass account, then follow the steps mentioned below :
1. Hit the big red-colored button – “SunPass Account Login to Account” and then click on “Forgot PIN?”
2. Now enter your Username or Account Number and Zip Code. Also, enter either your registered email id or last 4 digits of your credit card. Then, hit the ‘Submit” button.
